Our name is a tongue-in-cheek portmanteau of the expressions derring-do (action displaying daring courage) and it's a doozy.

Guitar Doozy
Jesse Acker-Johnson has been an active guitarist and composer for over 20 years, specializing in improvisation in blues, rock, jazz, and early music contexts. He has diverse interests in music that include renaissance and baroque music, blues, jazz, rock, metal, site-specific, pop, bluegrass, and more. Jesse has performed both acoustic and electric guitars as a soloist and in various bands in the United States (New England, California, Florida, Illinois, and New Mexico) and abroad. He is excited to be performing again in a power trio with his famous searing leads, sophisticated melodies, and intricate rhythms.
Bass Doozy
Brent Cline started playing bass at 14 and quickly graduated to playing in various rock, country, and jazz bands in high school and college. Since returning to New Mexico, Brent has played with local blues, rock, and folk bands. He was the bassist for the Santa Fe Playhouse performances of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fun Home and enjoyed playing with Chango when they won the SF Reporter's Best Band in Santa Fe. Brent is excited to be playing in a rock trio again with his powerful, complex, and unique bass playing (he finally gets to justify his effects and synth pedal collection).
Drum Doozy
Scott Beguin began drumming at the early age of 8 and knew he wanted to play drums for a living. He learned to play drums in Los Alamos before attending the Percussion Institute of Technology. Since then Scott has become a staple in the local Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Los Alamos music scenes, performing with such luminaries as Cactipus, Ramon Bermudez, Eric McFadden, The Gluey Brothers, Red White and Black, DK and the Affordables, and Como Agua to name a few. If the gig calls for epic drumming, Scott is bringing the thunder.
Tip Doozy
Tipsy is our no drama tip jar llama. She started out as a children's storage ottoman before moving up to the big leagues of tip collection for a rock band.
